The Notelaer

For the space in the cupola of 'the Notelaer' in Hingene (Belgium) I made a soundpiece. At irregular times visitors hear the sound of a person taking a shower. The duration varies, the breaks between the showers vary as well to make the work unpredictable. Showering is a daily ritual but people don't expect it in this environment. Visitors come to the Notelaer because of the architecture and because this place had a specific role in the Flemish televisionseries 'Stille Waters'(Still Waters).
