boats in the showcase

botervloot

Mo(nu)ment@Bornem is located in three places; Monumental in Bornem, de Notelaer in Hingene and local history museum de Zilverreiger in Weert (Belgium). Within the current exhibition on fishing on the River Scheldt, I made three boats of butter that sail along the fishing vessels in the showcase. The dutch word 'botervloot' means 'butter dish' but the literal translation is 'butter fleet'.
