Since a few years I collect postcards with seafronts. I noticed that especially british postcards had a 'rough sea' photo. A lot of them are not real, the big wave is drawn in the picture. In this work, Rough Seas, I used the picture to add another action to change the look. I mirrored it. Not an extreme change but for me an essential one. The reflection that occurs refers to former works where the reflection on the surface of water was the subject.

Rough Seas were shown in different assemblies in Kunstuitleen Goes, RMW province Zeeland Middelburg, Kunstuitleen Terneuzen and Galerie Van den Berge, Goes.
